Hi!
My name is Jessa Shortridge and I am so excited to join the Marienschule this year as a foreign language assistant for the English department. I grew up in the state of Michigan in the USA, and I just graduated from Northwestern University, where I studied German and Theatre. This year I hope to really get to know the Marienschule students and support their growth - linguistically, creatively, and personally. I am excited to bring my theatrical experience into the language classroom by engaging students in communicative improvisation, and by building their confidence to express themselves. Learning from the teachers I work with, I also hope to become a better teacher myself as I pursue a career in education!
